This photos illustrate poor quality framing that was brought into my shop for repair. There were four frames like this. The mats were leaching acid (notice the brown bevels and acid discoloration on the artwork). The prints were badly faded due to plain glass instead of UV glass. The frame was poorly constructed (see missing thumbnail insert photo). The foam core was not hinged to the mats. Two sided tape or ATG was used to hold everything together. The foam core was not acid free. These frames were built by a local frame studiio. I hate to see poor quality being passed on to unsuspecting customers. If you have artwork that you want preserved, let me frame it for you.
